Tony La Russa Pleads Guilty to DUITony La Russa, manager of the Saint Louis Cardinals, pleaded guilty to DUI. La Russa was arrested for DUI during baseball spring training in March.

La Russa must pay a fine, complete an alcohol class and complete 50 hours of community service. He will be on probation for 6 months as well. It is a good thing the Washington Nationals are no longer the Montreal Expos because individuals with a DUI conviction cannot enter Canada. Tough to manage a baseball game when you are a few hundreds miles away from the dugout.

Tony did release the following statement, “I accept full responsibility for my conduct, and assure everyone that I have learned a very valuable lesson and that this will never occur again.”
