South Bend, Indiana. Will Yeatman will be battling in a different arena this year; criminal court. Yeatman was driving on a campus sidewalk, which is illegal in Indiana, while under the influence of intoxicants. That too is illegal in Indiana. During the police investigation it was discovered that Yeatman’s blood alcohol content was 0.11. Indiana’s DUI legal limit is 0.08.
Notre Dame has suspended Yeatman from playing football for the Irish and for participating in lacrosse. Sitting on sidelines is not Yeatman’s greatest concern. He is potentially facing a year in jail for being charged with criminal recklessness. Shockingly, the misdemeanor alcohol charge only carries a maximum 60 day charge.
