Nashville, Tennessee. David Legwand is known for racing across the ice as a forward for the NHL Nashville Predators. After losing to Dallas on February 15th, Legwand was racing through Nashville in his Range Rover traveling 51 m.p.h. in a 35 m.p.h. zone. This attracted the wrong attention for Legwand because he was stopped by police.
During the traffic stop the police officer noted Legwand’s eyes were bloodshot and watery. Legwand’s pupils were also dilated, and his breath smelled of alcohol. Legwand admitted to consuming a beer. Police states Legwand’s speech was slurred during the interaction. David will appear in Davidson County criminal court on March 12th for DUI.
