Starkville, Mississippi – February 27, 2008. Mississippi State junior linebacker, Jamon Hughes, was arrested for DUI this past Wednesday. The Mississippi State Football program took swift action by suspending Hughes before any official criminal court action.
However, Hughes will be heading to Starkville Municipal Court on March 17th for an arraignment. Not the best way to spend St. Patrick’s Day. Hughes will need to enter a plea on the DUI charge in addition to driving with expired license tags, violating the seat belt law and finally not having proof of insurance.
