Mischa Barton Settles Her DUI Case with Prosecutors

Mischa BartonLos Angeles, California – April 10, 2008. Mischa Barton has settled her DUI case with prosecutors today. Mischa was not present in court, but her attorney entered a plea of no contest to the DUI. The possession of marijuana charge was dismissed and the driving without a license crime was amended down to an infraction.

The court is requiring Mischa serve three years on probation which includes paying a fine and attending an alcohol class. She missed a bullet by avoiding jail. Her attorney made the following statement after the hearing, “Ms. Barton understands the seriousness of this situation and assumes full responsibility for her actions. She and I are grateful to the Court and the District Attorney’s Office for the prompt and respectful resolution of the case.”

    She took the charge so seriously she didn’t even have the decency to show up. She’ll do it again. And be back in the same spot.
