Excellent work. Stupid celebrities are the same as stupid “civilians” only they have more money.

Regardless of their status, they deserve the same treatment if driving impaired or committing illegal acts.

good work, persons who commit traffic violations, illegal acts, driving impaired, etc. DESERVE the full measure of the law regardless of their “celebity” status. Just because you have money does not make you special. It just means you can post bail without mortgaging your house!

Celebrities have the same frailties as anyone else

    Redondo,

I agree celebrities have frailties whole heartedly. However, they do not have the same resources as everyone else. My friends and family do not have gobs of money that a celebrities like Mischa Barton would. When I go out partying I make sure there is a real “designated driver” or we use a taxi service.

Using a taxi service in the suburbs of Seattle is not easy because there are very few. Also, our public transportation system is non-existent. So getting home is a chore, but it must be done. Rolling the dice after partying all night is inexcusable.

I also have relatives that work in the Hollywood industry. Studios would be more than happy in providing car services for their stars. They would rather cough up a few bucks for a Lincoln Town car than see the lead of their show busted for DUI, or worse vehicular homicide.

It might not be fair, but if you have a significant amount of monetary resources there should be no reason at all to drive under the influence.

That’s good, this will serve as lesson to celebrities. As celebrities they should be a role model. And I agree she should get a driver or taxi service or the best is Limousine Service.
