BMWScottsdale, Arizona – December 1, 2007. Madeline Beach, 27, had a rough night to start off December. Flooding forced road closures at Hayden and Indian Bend. Officials posted barricades to prevent drivers from entering the hazard.

Barricades were no match for Madeline Beach. Madeline maneuvered her BMW around the warning barricades and drove into the rushing water. Either the alcohol she consumed impaired her judgment or Madeline misread her BMW operator manual because her BMW did not float.

Police and rescue arrived at the scene to save Madeline, and to no surprise Ms. Beach was arrested for DUI.

What did she ever think at that moment? Luckily she was not locked and got killed in her BMW. If the authorities arrested her, I consider that action is only for her own good in the future.

They should have let her float away.
