Los Angeles, California – March 17, 2009. Norm Nixon, 53, was pulled over last night driving his Ferrari without a front license plate. During the traffic stop by the California Highway Patrol the officer detected an odor of intoxicants from Nixon.
Nixon participated in the field sobriety tests which led to his arrest for Driving Under the Influence. The former Los Angeles Laker point guard was attending an after party for the season finale of “The Contender.” The party was hosted at The Palms in Los Angeles. Nixon played for the Lakers from 1977 through the 1983 season and then ended his career as a Los Angeles Clipper.
