Lawrence Trujillo is held in lieu of $250,000 bail. On November 10, 2006, Mr. Trujillo was allegedly Driving Under the Influence when he drove through a red traffic signal. In doing so, he collided with a family of four.

The Mother, Becca Bingham (39), and her two children, Macie (4) and Garrison (2) died as a result of the accident. Frank Bingham, the Father, received not life threatening injuries.

Mr. Trujillo was charged with various offenses. Vehicular Homicide involving Driving Under the Influence, Vehicular Assault while Driving Under the Influence, and finally, Leaving the Scene of an Accident. His license plate fell off his vehicle during the incident. Police were able to solve this crime quickly.

This horrible story is the reason why there needs to be more awareness among the public about DUI. What started out as an individual merely driving drunk, ended three lives and ruining Mr. Bingham’s life for the remaining of his days.
